As soon as she heard the knock on her door, Jackie jumped from the sofa and sprinted to the door. Even though she knew it wasn't Rose, who would just have barged in, some part of her could not help but hope it was her daughter.
She tore the door open, but the person standing on her doorstep was definitely not Rose or the Doctor. It was a tall, very handsome young man with dark hair and blue eyes.
"Good morning," he said. He had an American accent and Jackie was inexplicably drawn to him. "Are you Jackie Tyler?"

She used to have to chip away at the barriers of his mind and heart, patiently sculpting and revealing the beautiful man within. Then she had to brace herself for the fire and run right through the inferno, doggedly continuing until she reached the heart. Yet both her Doctors, while able to talk for England, never revealed anything about themselves. Even then Rose was s

"You want to go home."
I nodded dumbly, not yet trusting my voice. This good-bye could come only once, I wanted to get it right.
Flying through the time vortex seemed smoother than usual, it was like the universe itself wanted to give me good final memories. We'd been galaxies away, hundreds of thousands of years in the future, but it took less than five minutes to g
